Google Sync now Pushes Gmail to iPhone and WM

gmailSynchronize the built-in Mail, Calendar and Contacts apps on your iPhone or Windows Mobile device with your Google account. Your inbox is always up to date no matter where you are, or what you’re doing.

As well as push email you can still Synchronize your contacts and get calendar alerts. Using your iPhone’s native calendar, you can now access multiple Google calendars, and be alerted for upcoming appointments with sound or vibration.

A few caveats.

  • Since Google Sync users Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync most devices will only allow one account to use Exchange ActiveSync. So if you have another email account that uses EAS you will not be able to use this without first disabling the other account.
  • As with any service using push technology, Google Sync may cause increased usage of your device’s battery.
