Hey Guys, luv your show, I have been getting into the tech Podcasts since purchasing my iPhone back in October and really enjoy listening to you and Geoff discussing the latest products in the marketplace. My question is, after listening to Episode 27 and your discussions on Netbooks I am wondering if you or Geoff have any knowledge of the development of the Nvidia Ion GPU? Recently while sitting arround the airport in Orlando I picked up the Tech mag CPU and read an interesting article on Nvidia’s development of this mini Graphics Processor that would apparently enable these notebooks to achieve the power needed for great graphics/game play/blueray etc. Combined with the Atom CPU the expectation is that a notebook would be similar to a small Desktop as I understand it…
I really would like to purchase a Notebook but have been delaying any purchase waiting to hear if the Nvidia Ion is going to be Partnered up with any OEM and go into development soon. It would be great if you Guys could discuss this new GPU and its viability in the Notebook market! I’ll continue to to look forward to your Podcasts and if possible hope to hear any further advice pointing me in the right direction in my future purchase of a Netbook….Keep it going Steve! Jmac
