This week Geoff and I are joined by Mike Herald. Mike is jumping into the netbook arena with his recent purchase of the Samsung NC10 which he will receive tomorrow. We also stream the podcast live on the Mobile Tech Moment Live Feed.

For future shows we are looking for listeners that use other brands of netbooks. Currently Geoff and I run the MSI Wind. If you have a netbook other than the Wind and would like to discuss it on the Podcast please drop me a note so we can make arrangements to have you on the show.

    Hey Steve,

Great podcast! What, no love for Voicestream? lol.

I can totally empathize with your experience with the incredibly underqualified tech support reps. You can only go so dumb with a rep and script model before it starts becoming ineffective. I deal with these yahoos all the time when managing my client’s technology.

Palm Pre is lookin’ sweet so far. What the hell is up with these new OS’s and their lack of video recording support and BT Stereo?

Disagree about IE though, after running the MS Onecare Live “Full Service” scan on all of my systems the IE and OS are just running totally faster than before. You should try the OneCare Live http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm. The really good thing is that it has the most reliable Registry cleaner on the market, and I know you know how valuable that is.

I do have to agree with Dave on the UL listing point though, and not just because I won the Redfly. lol Basically when it comes to safety in electronics, more often than not you are better off with either a CE listing or UL listing regarding the product. It is true that they all come from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, etc.. but they do get the local electronic safety listings if they are worth their weight.

I am currently managing the Acer netbooks and I will be getting the Redfly. I can give some input if you would like on next podcast.

    Physboy,

Thanks for listening. I will give Oncare a try and see if that helps. As far as the AC adapter is concerned you and David are right. I would not leave my device plugged in overnight or unattended.

I would love to get you take on the Acer netbook as well as the Redfly. You are always welcome to come on to the Podcast.

    Steve
