An iPhone owner should undoubtedly protect their phone. While the glass screen may be more durable than a standard plastic screen that most devices use it is still prone to scratches if placed into a pocket with keys or loose change. Enter the Zagg Full Body InvisibleSHIELD for the iPhone 3G. Constructed from military grade material Zagg vouches that these shields will not scratch. So much in fact that included in every InvisibleSHIELD kit is a lifetime guarantee registration card. Also included are the needed tools to apply the shield (applicator spray, rubber squeege and detailed instructions).
When installing the full body InvisibleSHIELD I was meticulous and very patient. Zagg’s screen shield lives up to its promises. It protects the glass screen from scratches, and is relatively invisible. The screen shield by Zagg is something that I have been recommending to customers since its release. I personally have been very happy with its performance and I have received nothing but praise from returning customers.
The back shield however is a different story. It does a great job at eliminating scratches, particularly on the silver Apple logo. It also seems to add more of a grip to the phone which eliminates the need for any type of rubber or silicone case. For some reason I was never successful in getting the corners of the shield to stay down. They have popped up and started collecting varieties of pocket lint and dust. Once again I would like to mention that I took my time applying the back shield and yet I was still unable to keep the corners down. The shield does not seem to be in any danger of peeling off, but it does look somewhat tacky with bubbly corners.
Despite the lifting corners I have kept the full body InvisibleSHIELD on my iPhone and will continue to do so until I find a better option. Using Zagg’s invisibleSHIELD I have eliminated the need for a case and the added bulk it brings. I will continue to recommend the front screen InvisibleSHIELD to anyone buying any type of touch-screen device.
