iPhone Alley is reporting that Rogers Wireless has announced that they have
finally made a deal with Apple to be the sole carrier of the iPhone in Canada, and that it will hit shelves some time this year. While part of the delay was likely due to negotiations between the companies, progress was hindered by a trademark dispute over the iPhone name between Apple and Canadian company Comwave.
CEO of the company, Ted Rogers, said “We’re thrilled to announce that we have a deal with Apple to bring the iPhone to Canada later this year. We can’t tell you any more about it right now, but stay tuned.”
