What would you think of a review where a product is rated 5/5? I might really consider buying it. Now what would you think if the reviewer had relationship with the the products manufacturer and did not disclose that in the review? You might think differently about purchasing the product.

That is the case with Jack’s latest review. The product gets a 5/5 glowing review. Now said product might really be that good but can you really take the chance knowing that the reviewer has a relationship with the company. I might trust the review if this was stated outright but this is not the case here.

People trust the folks that run websites that review products. Lets face it, a lot of these products cost a lot of money and, people want to know if they are getting a good product for their hard earned money.

Sites that don’t disclose their affiliations are doing a disservice to their readers and the companies that supply the product. A simple sentence stating the relationship would help the consumer make an informed decision.

Full disclosure should be the standard for every site that reviews any product. This will ensure that the reader gets all the information they need to make an informed decision.

Is it an honest review or is it just another infomercial? Hard to tell.

  1. Jerry says:

He just doesn’t learn! Being on the Board of Advisors of the company pretty much demands that some sort of disclosure is made. As a matter of fact, that affiliation should exclude him from doing reviews of any of the Scottyevest products! Even if full disclosure was given, do you really think he would be “objective?”

I just hope that enough people understand this including those who seem to enjoy his biased reviews.

  2. Once again he wants to hide. Chris will also fall into his trap! Jack knows Scott gives back perks! For one FREE PRODUCT for a review!
