Friendship, as defined by Wikipedia, is a term used to denote co-operative and supportive behaviour between two or more social entities. Friends will welcome each other’s company and exhibit loyalty towards each other.

I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of great people in the mobile on-line community and have made some very good friends along the way. I have also learned that there are a lot of people who will be your friend only to advance their agenda or to use you for personal gain. These folks have no sense of loyalty and they don’t understand the true meaning of friendship or community. It is sad that there are people like this but thankfully there are only a handful of these folks and their reputation preceeds them.

You may ask why I bring this up. Well the holidays are fast approaching and it is traditionally a time for family and friends to get together to enjoy good food, good cheer, and good company.  For me, it is also a time to look back on all of the people I have met along the way. I have been able to take something away from every experience both good and bad. I have made some truly great friends, and learned some hard lessons about people I though were my friends.

I value my friendships and hope to continue to make many more friends in this great community.

Laura- I feel the same way. I think that is what is so great about these types of communities. You can forge some great friendships without ever meeting someone face to face. I hope that sometime we will get to meet.
